Duties: Working in a team-based environment, conduct research and in-depth statistical analysis to support enrolment management, program review and assessment, and accountability reporting. Lead the compilation of the university's official student FTE reports requiring an in-depth understanding of coding requirements. Assist with the preparation of Central Data Warehouse submissions by performing data maintenance, cleaning, running edit routines on program data, and resolving data anomalies by contacting program staff, if/as required. Respond to ad hoc information requests, clarify needs, identify appropriate and timely information sources, and prepare/present statistical, written, and verbal reports in a clear, succinct manner. Work independently on assigned projects and collaborate with other members of the department on a variety of projects, provide data verification support on a variety of projects. Interact with a wide variety of stakeholders including senior management, faculty, staff, and students as well as external organizations and the public. Prepare confidential and sensitive information and use appropriate discretion when producing reports and/or releasing information.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in the Social Sciences, Business Management, Education, Statistics, or Information Technology as well as one to three years related experience. An equivalent combination of technical training, education, and experience may be considered. Demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. Extensive use of database, spreadsheet, and desktop publishing software such as Access, Excel, and SPSS, as well as Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

A broad understanding of institutional operations as well as academic program and curriculum development processes. Extremely high attention to detail and the ability to identify and recommend information collection and editing procedures.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with the post-secondary education system, ministry reporting requirements, and experience in an institutional research office. Experience with quantitative and qualitative research methods, analytical tools (e.g., SPSS), and reporting / desktop publishing tools. Post-graduate degree from an appropriately accredited institution in a related discipline. Experience using relational databases, reporting tools, and student information systems.
