The Faculty of International Education includes the departments of Administration, Admissions, Finance, Homestay, Education Abroad, Student Activities, Marketing and the English Language Centre.|
As the first point of contact for all visitors and students, provide front-line reception and services to students (international and domestic) and the general public for the Faculty of International Education. Provide telephone and email responses to inquiries, which may require interpretation and dissemination to other areas. Assist students with online/in-person registration, computer access, booking appointments, letter requests, medical insurance, signups for workshops and drop-in sessions. Maintain a welcoming and informative reception area, create information brochures and poster for department events, and provide clerical support to the other areas of the department, as time permits.|
One-year certificate in Applied Business Technology, or equivalent, from an appropriately accredited institution. Three to five years of previous experience in a cross-cultural environment. Proficiency in MS Office suite of programs, particularly in Outlook, Word, Publisher and PowerPoint. Excellent communication and customer service skills and background in working with clients whose first language is not English. Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment, tact, diplomacy and problem solving skills in a cross cultural environment and as a member of a team.|
Experience in a post-secondary institution using a student record system. Proficiency in a second language.|
