Duties: To develop course materials, instruct, assess and grade student achievement in a selection of accounting courses that may include:

Fall 2013
ACCT 100: Financial Accounting I
ACCT 201: Financial Accounting II

Spring 2014
ACCT 100: Financial Accounting I
ACCT 201: Financial Accounting II
ACCT 294: Introduction to Cost and Managerial Accounting
ACCT 317: Taxation II
ACCT 336: Intermediate Accounting: Liabilities and \Owners Equity
ACCT 350: Fraud Awareness, Prevention and Detection
ACCT 410: Principles of Auditing

  Candidates must demonstrate commitment to teaching, learning and student success through scholarship and institutional service. Successful candidates will participate in a wide range of activities outside the classroom, including student support; institutional, faculty and departmental committee meetings and other initiatives; and professional activities in keeping with their disciplines in and outside the institution.
 
Required Qualifications: Undergraduate degree from an appropriately accredited institution in a related area plus membership in good standing of a Canadian professional accounting organization (CA, CGA, CMA, CPA); recent relevant applied professional experience; relevant professional memberships; and an ability to work in a team-oriented department in an institution that is primarily focused on students and teaching. Successful candidates will be responsive to diverse cultural and academic backgrounds and learning styles.
 
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in a related area from an appropriately accredited institution. Evidence of effective post-secondary teaching experience.
