  Leave Replacement: Appointment end date may be extended or end early dependent on return of incumbent.
Workload: 21 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday days. Additional hours to be submitted on timesheets when culinary program is in service.
Evening hours may occasionally be required.

Location: Nanaimo Campus
  Food Services operates two cafeterias, Campus Caterers, and the Discovery Room and works closely with Culinary Arts, Professional Baking, and Hospitality Management to provide food services to the campus community. Food Services is part of the Ancillary Services team.
Duties: Prepare the Discovery Room Dining Room for daily operations. Provide a high standard of enthusiastic and responsive customer service to guests. Process all cash, charge, and departmental account charges. Take reservations. Update daily menus. Order, receive, and stock product from vendors and Food Stores. Provide liaison and maintain effective communication with chefs, instructors, and students. Perform cleaning tasks.
Required Qualifications: Grade 12 completion plus short term training courses including FoodSafe, Serving It Right, and Customer Service courses. Three to five years fine dining experience, including bartending and wine knowledge and experience with a POS. Proven customer service skills in a fine dining setting. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proven cash handling skills. Intermediate level word processing skills.
