AUTO 100 Automotive Apprenticeship Level 1
Course includes performance of safety-related functions; use of tools, equipment, documentation; communications and mentoring; diagnosis and repair of: driveline systems; electrical systems and components; steering, suspension, braking; control systems; tires, wheels, hubs, and wheel bearings; restraint systems; body components, accessories and trim; and diagnosis and repair of hybrid and electric vehicles.

AUTO 101 Auto Shop Safety
This course concentrates on personal and shop safety practices including a thorough understanding of WCB regulations, OHS regulations, fire safety procedures, WHMIS, personal protective equipment, shop emergency equipment and procedures, safe use of tools and equipment including hand, measuring, power and shop tools and equipment, MIG and Oxyacetylene welding. AUTO 101 was formerly called AUTO 123T; credit will not be granted for both courses.

AUTO 101T Auto Shop Safety

AUTO 102T Tools, Equipment and Documentation
This course covers the use of tools and equipment; use of fasteners, tubing, hoses and fittings; use of hoisting and lifting equipment; and use of technical information for the automotive trade. Credit will only be granted for one of AUTO 102 or AUTO 102T.

AUTO 103T Communication and Mentoring
This course covers effective communication techniques along with mentoring and coaching approaches and receptiveness to instructions and directions. Credit will only be granted for one of AUTO 103 or AUTO 103T.

AUTO 104T Driveline Systems
This course focuses on the servicing and repair of vehicle drivelines. AUTO 104T was formerly called AUTO 160T; credit will not be granted for both courses.

AUTO 105T Electrical Systems and Components
A study and practice of basic DC electrical systems, including terminology, theories, circuits and components, wiring diagrams, service and repair wiring; use electrical testing equipment and scan tools; diagnose and repair starting, charging and battery systems. Safety, tool usage, procedures and accuracy of results emphasized.

AUTO 106T Steering, Suspension and Braking
This course covers diagnosis and repair of steering and control systems; diagnosis and repair of suspension and control systems; diagnosis and repair of braking and control systems; diagnosis and repair of tires, wheels, hubs and wheel bearings. AUTO 106T was formerly called AUTO 137T; credit will not be granted for both courses. Credit will only be granted for one of AUTO 106 or AUTO 106T.

AUTO 107T Restraint Systems and Body Components
This course covers diagnosis and repair of vehicle restraint systems. Diagnosis and repair of wind noises, rattles, and water leaks; diagnosis and repair of interior and exterior components. Credit will only be granted for one of AUTO 107 or AUTO 107T.

AUTO 108 Hybrid and Electric Vehicles
This course covers the diagnosis and repair of hybrid and electric vehicles, including implementation of specific safety protocols for hybrid and electric vehicles.

AUTO 109T Welding
This course prepares students to use all shop, hand, and power tools and equipment appropriate to the automotive trade, including study and practice of basic oxyacetylene and MIG welding components, procedures and methods. AUTO 110T Engines
This course focuses on the servicing and repair of gasoline and diesel engines and engine systems, including equipment and shop safety. AUTO 110T was formerly called AUTO 147T; credit will not be granted for both courses.

AUTO 116T Shop Skills
A study and practice, preparing students to work productively in a shop environment. Includes identification and use of tools and other shop equipment.

AUTO 132T Welding Module
A study and practice of basic oxy-act welding procedures.

AGTA 100T Automotive Glass Technician
This course is the technical training for the Automotive Glass Technician Apprenticeship program. Topics include: perform safety related functions; use tools, equipment and supplies; organize work and use documentation; prepare vehicle; perform windshield repair; remove/repair and install components; remove and install glass/materials; prepare vehicle for delivery; perform troubleshooting procedures.
Prerequisite: Registered as an Automotive Glass Technician Apprentice with the Industry Training Authority.
