VIU Educational Advisors support VIU applicants in making their educational plans and working to identify and work towards education and career goals. We also help applicants plan and prepare for a successful transition to VIU and positive and rewarding educational experience. 7 Reasons to Connect with Advising

    Applicants should consider attending a You@VIU Advising Welcome Session on campus or online! These sessions are intended to support you in your transition to VIU and ensure that you know the steps you will be taking as you begin your academic planning and work toward your educational goals.

VIU New Applicant Year at a Glance

VIU Educational Advisors Liaise directly with schools in the Nanaimo/Ladysmith, Parksville/Qualicum and Alberni school districts to support applicants in their transition to Vancouver Island University. We visit local schools in the spring to assist accepted students in their next steps, course planning and registration.
