Campus Development
Campus Development plans, designs and manages major capital projects minor capital projects, department initiated capital projects, and carbon neutral capital projects. Nanaimo Campus Master Plan and Five-Year Capital Plan development as well as design guidelines, the facility inventory system, the office inventory system as well as operating and maintenance manuals are also the responsibility of this team.

Ancillary Services
The Campus Store, Conference and Event Services, Food Services, Catering, Vending, Printing & Duplicating, Starbucks, and Student Housing are all part of Ancillary Services.
Sustainability
Carbon reporting for the institution and sustainability-related behavioural initiatives to engage and support the VIU community in developing and maintaining a culture of sustainable action make up the portfolio of this area.
