Stages of Application Processing


After you submit your application from your online student record, you will be able to track the status of your application:

StageDescription
Pending
Your application hasn't been seen by a Degree Advisor or Chair/Coordinator. You can still make changes to your application form.
In Progress
Your application has been seen by a Degree Advisor or Chair/Coordinator and is being checked to see if you meet the graduation requirements.
Held
Your application has been set aside until your final requirements have been met or your transfer credit arrives.
Winter Complete
Your application has been set aside until after the fall semester, when your Degree Advisor or Chair/Coordinator expects you to meet the requirements of your program.
Summer Complete
Your application has been set aside until after the spring or summer semesters, when your Degree Advisor or Chair/Coordinator expects you to meet the requirements of your program.
ParticipantYour Degree Advisor or Chair/Coordinator expects you to meet the requirements of your program within 60 days of the convocation ceremony.
Approved
Congratulations! Your application has been approved. Degree students' applications are recommended to Senate; diploma and certificate students' applications are forwarded to Records.
Senate
Your degree has been sent for consideration at the next Senate meeting. List of the Senate meetings for the year.
Confirmed
Your credential has been officially conferred - congratulations! You are now a graduate of Vancouver Island University.
Denied
Your application has been denied; please contact your Degree Advisor or Chair/Coordinator to find out why you did not meet the graduation requirements.
